Air Treatment

Industrial air purification & air treatment

All industrial production releases harmful or foul-smelling pollutants into the air. It has excellent performance in removing these toxic substances, pollutants, and odorous substances.

What is PANION® worth? (Why use PANION® for air purification?)

Many harmful air pollutants, such as volatile acids and alkalis, are poorly absorbed by conventional adsorption materials such as activated carbon and silica gel.
These substances include:

Acidic substance

  • Inorganic acid : HCl, HF, H2SO4, HNO3, H3PO4, etc.
  • Acid oxide : SO2, NO2, SO3, CrO3, etc.
  • Organic acid : HCOOH, CH3COOH, etc.
  • HCN
  • Cl2, Br2

Basic substance

  • Alkali : NaOH, KOH, etc.
  • NH3
  • Amine : (tri-)(di-)(mono-)methylamine, (tri-)(di-)(mono-)ethylamine, etc.

Many other substances

  • H2S, CH2O
  • And many other substances

PANION® materials are used to purify air from pollutants at concentrations up to 500 mg/m3. It is also very effectively used in air purification systems against various odors, odorous substances and cigarette smoke.

Chemisty

PANION® materials have the same chemical properties as granular ion exchangers. These are acids and alkalis and are produced in various fabric forms. Staple, woven and non-woven fibers are ideally suited for air filtration combined with chemical purification.

How is air purified?

The process of air purification occurs due to the neutralization reaction or catalytic destruction of toxic components of the air and acid and basic groups of substances.

How to use ion exchange fiber

PANION® materials are self-renewable industrial filters for air purification and are applied in the form of FIF, CF and FIF-CF filters, which are the basis for ion exchange filters at high contaminant concentrations.
Additionally, for low-concentration pollutants, it is widely used in disposable filters of various structures such as pockets, panels, and small filters.
Thanks to their woven form, fibrous ion exchangers can be used as standard items by dust filter manufacturers without changing the manufacturing process, greatly expanding the product range and applications.
Filters based on Panion materials are used for deep air purification in “clean rooms” and analytical laboratories in industry, agriculture, as well as in the microelectronics, optics, metrology manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.
